CDL Truck Driver-Lowboy Operator
Drives Over the Road Tractor Trailers (OTRs) pulling oversized loads. Loads and unloads equipment at job sites. Must have lowboy experience.
Must have knowledge of all state and federal DOT regulations regarding Commercial Motor Vehicles
Complete pre & post trip vehicle inspections forms daily
Complete daily mileage and fuel consumption forms daily
Responsible for turning in driver paperwork weekly
Completions of Driving JSA’s daily
Maintain cleanliness of Commercial motor vehicles
Responsible for the safe operation of commercial motor vehicles
Responsible for loading heavy equipment onto lowboy for transportation, including proper cargo securement and binding
Responsible for obtaining proper permits for oversize overweight loads
Responsible for unloading heavy equipment off lowboy
Responsible for small repairs and maintenance of commercial motor vehicles
Responsible for all items stocked on truck, cones, chains, etc.
Responsible for loading, hauling and unloading materials
Responsible for operations of various commercial motor vehicles, dump trucks, low boys, end dumps, etc.
To comply and ensure compliance with all Woodson Incorporated Safety Procedures, Company Policies, Practices and Procedures as well as Local, State and Federal Regulations by their assigned employees and vendors
Manage the daily and weekly assigned work plans including the work schedule, goals and tasks through the Plan, Brief, Execute and Debrief work management cycle
Responsible for the safety of the employees, sub-contractors and the public
Complete, on-time and on- cycle, all reporting requirements
Efficiently manage and maintain Woodson Incorporated tools and equipment including but not limited to basic machine maintenance, scheduled service, and repairs.
Report and document all safety violations, incidents, near misses, and lessons learned to the Superintendent immediately or escalate as necessary
Operate equipment or perform manual tasks as required to complete the project
Load and haul equipment according to driver qualification status.*
Provide Superintendent feedback on plans, performance, equipment or work practices that may improve production and/or safety of the project
Minimum experience require of the position:
Must have a valid CDL Class A driver’s license
Must have a minimum of 6 month approved DOT Medical Card
Must have a clean Motor vehicle record
Must have a clean DOT history
Certified to operate all tools and equipment required to perform their assignments
As an employee of Woodson Incorporated it will be required for you to complete work that is not in your job description and may include work that requires physical exertion in remote locations, void of sanitary facilities, in extreme weather conditions both hot and cold and precipitation, during light of day, during the night and quite possibly in flooded areas.
Must be able to routinely lift equipment, tools and materials
Must be available 24/7 to respond to customers’ emergency situations
Must be available to work additional hours, to work in varying or alternate locations, and/or to perform additional duties as assigned by management
Minimum education required of the position:
High School Degree or equivalent (preferred but not required)

Ability to work long hours in a high stress environment, including work outside of normal business hours.

Squat for up to 30 minutes, or
Stand for up to 8 hours
Height for climbing – 6’ (Required to climb a ladder, stairs, or tree for up to 6’.)
Maximum single step height – 2’ (Required to make a maximum single step height of up to 2’ with one leg.)
Maximum weight carried while climbing – 30lbs (Required to carry up to 30 lbs while climbing ladder, stairs, or tree.)
Crawl height – 2’ (Required to be able to crawl under a 2’ crawl space.)
Small space/hole – 2.5’ wide (Required to be able to fit through a 2.5’ wide crawl space.)
Max weight single hand – 30lbs (Required to be able to lift up to 30 lbs with a single hand.)
Max weight both hands – 60lbs (Required to be able to lift up to 60 lbs with both hands.)
Max floor to waist lift – 75lbs (Required to be able to lift up to 75 lbs from the floor to the waist.)
Above shoulder lift – 40lbs (Required to be able to lift up to 40 lbs from the floor to above the shoulders)
